Halloween Party Installation

The DIY Magic Mirror installed for a Halloween Party. Set for stealth mode, the Magic Mirror was triggered by the proximity sensor when unsuspecting guests went to wash their hands in the bathroom sink. A potentiometer was used to change the characters on the fly and a touch sensor was mounted behind the frame matte. Pics

The Magic Suitcase

Desktop Installation

A simple desktop installation with the Magic Mirror running on a second monitor. The touch sensors are used for weather and stock.


Laptop Installation

A laptop installation where the cables were lengthened leading to the alcohol sensor mounted in the ABS T-pipe. The laptop is running Ubuntu Linux.


The Magic Mirror kit can be purchased from Seeedstudio. If you already have an Arduino and can build the circuit yourself, you can also purchase just the software.
